You’re the one who needs perspective. There is absolutely no reason for the scanners or the pat downs. Israel does just fine without them. What we need is profiling and the training of agents in the Israeli style of profiling. Not one bomber has been caught since the TSA started their BS tyranny of the airports.

Let's be honest. Israel has one large airport - Ben Gurion. They probably, on an average day, see as many passengers as the Greater Cincinnati Airport sees in an hour or two.

I've flown in out of Ben Gurion on several occasions. The lines are long and move slowly. If you tried to do that at a large metro aiport, you would need to arrive perhaps 6 to 8 hours before the flight. (Just my opinion on the time)
