I'd be happy to pilot the no-screened planes myself, since you ask. And, by the way, I think lots of other pilots would also prefer to pilot no-screen planes, with a planeload of good armed Americans at their backs, than to take the chance that an entire passenger compartment could easily be taken over by a few strong young men without much of a fight. Again: screened flights flew into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. Did you not know about that? It was in all the papers. The only flight that was not successfully turned into a weapon was the one in which the PASSENGERS FOUGHT BACK. Make it easier for the passengers to fight back, and you reduce the damage terrorists can do, and thus the incentive for terrorism, and thus the the chances of a terror attack in the first place. Screening just made it easier for the terrorists to work on 911.
