Those indians were not Americans, and how did they treat our POWs?

. . . how did they treat our POWs?

'bout the same way Chivington treated the Pawnee men, women and children at the Sand Creek Massacre, and Custer treated the men, women and children at the massacre of Black Kettle's camp at the Washita Massacre.

Why?

They were born in America, that would make them Americans, right? They were Americans by default. This government didn’t recognize them as such until 1920 however. Regardless, they were Native (of) Americans.
