White sox and no-see-ums are the worst... mosquitos are an annoyance but the others will drive you mad.
I remember sitting on a rock in a bay in PWS hunting for bruins wearing said headnet and watching no-see-ums crawling in and out of the mesh. I’d rather have a root canal that face a squadron of those rascals again!
