Zot them until they glow, then shoot them in the dark! (figuratively speaking on the shooting part, of course.)
My sweet sweet great grandmother, who was absolutely the sweetest soul on earth (with a temper) would say:
Knock their head off and then throw it at their dead body!
Might not be very dark if they are glowing.
