Plus the republican party gave us horrible candidates. Meg Whitman was seen as a rich woman buying her way into the gobernorship, and that doesn’t look good these days.

Carly Fiornino couldn’t get away from her image of laying off lots of people at HP.

They were both horrible candidates.

The GOP never learns. In a sense they reran the 2008 (and the 1996) election with the same results. Isn't that the definition of insanity?

Whitman got creamed when the Nannygate issue popped up. That was the end of the Latino vote for her.

Carly got beat in part because of the Whitman issue, which was hugh and series in the Latino community. Carly was anti-illegal immigration.

When a Republican is anti-illegal immigration, that equates to mass round up and deportation in the Hispanic mind. So, the law and order Republican will suffer at the ballot box.
