The more I think about it the more I realize we don’t need a star. That’s why I’m leaning in the direction of Saul Anuzis. He himself is a bit of a RINO but it doesn’t seem to have affected his support of some very conservative candidates. Better yet he’s brought “moderate” money into very conservative campaigns.

His philosophy seems to be that the people should choose their candidates and the chairman should keep a low profile and let the candidate drive his campaign.

That’s a very interesting perspective. Why not? As long as the Chairperson isn’t out there coughing up hairballs, your thoughts hold merit.

OTOH, as far star power and fundrasing goes, I see Rudy as a selling point with the 10th anniversary of 9/11 coming up. RINO-leanings or not, he offers a 180 degree contrast to Obama who will be milking the event for every drop he can. And Rudy would be a fine AG.
