The "top" is on topic. We actually have people who think they see a missile heading North West out to sea. It's actually an airplane heading toward us ~ or East by South East.

It's possible you cannot see the illusion ~ but that's the answer to that issue. Somethings can be seen going two different directions with no change whatsoever needing to be made to the image.

So, the question is do you understand the illusion or don't you?

I also found what you believe to be a philosophical point ~ it's actually about "formal logic" and its RULES. Using a slightly more esoteric orthography than you are probably used to, you can write those rules out as algebraic formulae.

What this leads us to is a situation where you disregard the facts, you disregard mathematics, you disregard the rules of formal logic, you disregard KNOWN physiologic human behavior ~ and all so you can uphold the uninformed opinion of a retired general.

I suspect that when we open up your Schroedinger' box, you will be neither alive nor dead!
