Nah...those folks just insult themselves. I’ve been here a long time, and I’ve found that those who are quick to anger and enjoy a game of taunting others -— well, they don’t hold some of the core values of FReepers at all. Intolerance for other’s opinions is a dead giveaway of the left.
I really do come here to learn and to share ideas & information. Those who stick around threads just to heckle and trip up the steps of others, are in my opinion like a piece of old gum stuck to your shoe. I feel that I can either do my best to ignore the “gum” and enjoy my day, or I can get all worked up about it. These people sometimes resemble drill sergeants to me because they get right up in your face, tell you what to think, they tell you you’re basically stupid and they yell at you some more.

Apparently not agreeing with a few people here means you are an open target or something ... guess I need a thicker skin.
And realize that FR is a magnet for all kinds - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the paid influencer.
Early on at FR it wasn’t like this. Some believe there are posers here now. I think a lot of it stems from people who joined who were interested in the right’s philosophy but who never were really on board to begin with; similar to Blue Dogs and RINOs.
Sorry you’ve had a negative experience here. There are many FReepers still here from FR’s younger years, and they are what keeps this place going...outside of Mr. R., of course. :)
