Because they didn’t receive the hype that the one filmed on 8th November got. Because of the news helicopter footage and CBS it got immediate and instant reaction. It became a media frenzy with every man and his dog giving an opinion.
The edited footage shown puzzled the Pentagon, NASA contrail scientists and editors of Jane’s Rockets and Missiles. The story simply took on a life of its own.
I agree. The full footage should have been available from day one.
ROTFLOL Nice to know that the DoD is so easily manipulated. I guess modern aircraft don’t have GPS transponders on them either so that they could immediately identify the “airplane” instead of launching a two week’s long investigation that still has no conclusion.
He stayed on the event, but failed to film it continuously? This epic event appearing before his eyes and yet he doesn’t stay on it? Sorry I’m not buying that. The LAX webcam and Rick Warren’s images show that this ‘object’ carried on over mainland US. Oh I forgot those are all faked :).It didn’t just simply disappear! Watch the video from when the airliner is producing a non-persistent contrail. Are you claiming that this is a ballistic missile?
I agree that the NASA view on AWE808 is incorrect. Tri-engined wide body MD-11 UPS902 should be the flight that most suits. Think about it? Where are the reports from UPS902 that they saw a freakin’ great ballistic launch?
Gil is filming at distance via powerful optics. Optics that are foreshortening the contrail from the MD-11. Basic perspective here. The conditions were right for the MD-11 to form a persistent contrail. The contrail is later seen dissipating with the winds. Oh I forgot can't use that because Rick Warren's images are all fake:) What about the sat image, that must be fake too?
If an MD-11 can produce this non-persistent contrail then it is quite capable of producing a massive persistent contrail. Also look at the vortex rings produced in this image. Filmed at distance in the video the contrail is billowing out and expanding rapidly. Check out the NASA contrail website and note the distances that contrails can spread out to.
Contact Rick Warren then! You are the one throwing these unfounded accusations at him. Contact him, invite him onto the thread, and debate it like an adult. It is easy to simply dismiss a photographers work, but then again you have an agenda to simply dismiss it. I’ve sent Rick an e-mail. Perhaps he will answer your question either on here or if you contact him by e-mail.

They acknowledge the debate, take a high road of "judge for yourself" and post highly edited video mislabeled as "Raw." If they really want us to judge, they should provide the full evidence they have - the video with timecodes and coordinates of camera.
Their actions since indicate they'd like to walk away from it. I wish there were some way to pressure them to release the full shoot now.

Instead of all the snide remarks why not contact Rick via his Flickr account and get him to send you the raw images? You obviously like to make accusations. Here is your chance to prove that they are fake. Over to you or are you just going to continue to dismiss them with a wave of your hairy mitt?
You were like this when the Russians invaded Georgia. Only you could come up with the theory that they were trying to link up with Iranian forces!
The conditions were right for this MD-11 to produce a large persistent contrail. The following day Californians were still filming things that they claimed were missiles. I've no doubt that if they had been filming a tri-engined wide-body that they would have filmed a larger contrail? A lot of people have simply dismissed the type of airliner involved and the prevailing conditions.
Not to mention the airliner crew transiting over at the time? No reports of massive plumes, booster separation stages, fires in the sky. What about the Air Traffic Controllers at LAX? No reports of unusual activity or sightings of rocket plumes and separations stages in the sky. Nothing. I wonder why that is?
This investigation that you are implying took place. Did CBS provide the exact coords for their helo to the Pentagon? Ask yourself that? Did the Pentagon try to match up the video footage with the coords of the helo? Why can't you understand that the US military detected nothing unusual in the area? All they have to view is a video of an airliner producing a persistent contrail which dissipates into a non-persistent contrail. It is that simple! Nothing unusual there apart from the hype generated by an edited video tape and aired on a TV station with people crying that it looks like a missile.
Edited tape being the operative word here. Even Jane's editor Doug Richardson has reversed his initial interpretation of the tape! Even a NASA contrail scientist has reversed his initial interpretation. Why is that? Have they been got at by the disinfo agents? Just because it looks like a ballistic missile launch does not mean that it is. Type of aircraft and conditions can and do have an effect on contrails.
Good analysis. I agree. There is currently an Airliner Pilot posting on Above Top Secret. He has a whole wealth of experience of observing contrails and studying how much they can vary. The persistent contrail changing into a non-persistent contrail is very evident in the later stages of the video and is of course reflected in Rick Warren’s images. I can’t believe that people actually think that the gap is some sort of booster or stage separation break?

When you consider the distance that Gil must have been tracking this airliner then you can see how much reflection and possibly strobes played in that snippet?
The following video shows how much reflection can be produced. Now imagine that amount of reflection at extreme range? It could certainly be misinterpreted as a rocket booster.
