I am now convinced it was the Chicoms, not the Russians. The Russians enjoy the gamesmanship of taunting our defenses in such a visible mannner, but the missile seemed to be larger than the Bulava and the 3rd Bulava test launch for this year is scheduled to take place from a sub that is supposedly still in port. I originally thought it was just the Russians taunting Obama with a Bulava test, like they did in Oslo last year. Now I believe it was China and it wasn’t a taunt, but a threat.

Chinese sub pops up in middle of U.S. Navy exercise, leaving military chiefs red-faced

American military chiefs have been left dumbstruck by an undetected Chinese submarine popping up at the heart of a recent Pacific exercise and close to the vast U.S.S. Kitty Hawk - a 1,000ft supercarrier with 4,500 personnel on board.

By the time it surfaced the 160ft Song Class diesel-electric attack submarine is understood to have sailed within viable range for launching torpedoes or missiles at the carrier.

According to senior NATO officials the incident caused consternation in the U.S. Navy

Thanks for the ping. This subject reminds me of the old chemtrail threads that FR used to tolerate. Now there are FReepers who say that Certifigate threads make FR look bad. Yeah, right. Half the population of the US thinks there’s something behind Certifigate, but 90% of America would give you a blank stare if you asked about chemtrails.
