He’s saying they will stay home. If they do that in 2012, the Dems can kiss Obama good-bye and write off dozens of House incumbents and Senators in purple states.

They need to gin up that black turnout to be competitive.

African-American voters are the largest chunk of the Democrat vote.

Within the party, as part of the primaries and caucuses, depending on state, they are 30% to 50% of the party's voting strength.

That means they PICK a number of the state committee chairmen and can have even more influence on how party campaign funds are distributed.

I think Obama's toast for 2012 anyway. I saw a great bumper sticker yesterday:

Anyone who writes their own autobiography before age 40, but who has never accomplished anything, is narcistically deluded to the point they have no touch with reality. This time, I think there are enough people who see through the smoke and mirrors to throw this empty hat out the window.
