“E. de Vattel, The Law of Nations, Preliminaries §3 (J. Chitty et al. transl. and ed. 1883) (hereinafter Vattel)”

For two centuries we have affirmed that the domes-tic law of the United States recognizes the law of nations. page 35

My God, how pathetic is THAT attempt to deceive. BushPilot should be embarrassed.
The term “law of nations” is not capitalized in the Court’s opinion, therefore the opinion is not referring to the Swiss law professor’s 18th century book but rather to the actual law of nations and the quote has no relevance at all to two citizen parents being required in order to be considered a natural born citizen. Furthermore, that particular quotation has been totally ignored as precedent by the current US Supreme Court’s adjudication of the nine Obama eligibility appeals that have reached them for “Cert Conferences.”

Wow, this is low, even for you. The part in quotation marks IS capitalized in the opinion. And Vettel is mentioned by name in the decision six times.
