Just had a discussion with some co-workers here and we are all getting a little anxious about this. The general feeling here is that if the US did not do this, there are very few nations who can and we are potentially at the brink of war.
I kinda blew this off this morning because I figured it was just a Navy exercise, but the fact that no one appears to know where it came from has changed all that.

At your link Ellsworth speculates it was an ICBM sent as a warning to asia.
Makes sense to me.

whatever it is, its sizable but not remotely like any ICBM or SLBM so far as I can see (but Im no expert!) Doesnt seem impressive enough to be a demonstration test for Asian govts etc. But why the mystery about who launched it and why?Let's see. It's not far from Hollywood. So, what are the chances it's simply a publicity stunt for a new movie?

May have been wrong about just a big ol’ sub based missile being launched against the blue UFO. Maybe it was the blue UFO!

Watch the video again. Note the increased light intensity during flight? This is indicative of a multi-stage rocket separation, no?

Just how much are the Chicoms invested in their own economy and just how much is it from foreign companies ( i.e. US companies ) ?
Cause the enemy to invest so much in something, then pull the carpet from under them.
How long has it been that the US has been trying to get the Chicoms from pegging their currency from the US dollar ?
Would it be beyond the realm of possibility that the US in a plan let the Chicoms let foreign interest invest so much in their economy, and let the Chicoms invest so much of their own resources that ? at the right time ? pull the carpet from under them ?
Maybe ? it was a demonstration to the Chicoms that no matter how much technology they have stolen from the USA and how modern and powerful their military is, and no matter how much money we have borrowed from them that the USA still has the goods and technology ( technology that they don't know about ) to force them to say uncle ?
The old saying goes,
you owe the bank $ 100,000 , then you got a problem,
but ? if you owe the bank $ 100,000,000,000 then ? the bank has a problem.
Yeah, the Chicoms can stop buying our bonds and crash the US economy, but, so goes the whole world too including the Chinese economy, who is going to buy their goods then ?
In spite of who are president is, maybe the USA is saying to the Chicoms with this missile demonstration " BITE ME " ....
