It isn’t the tactics or money but the ideology, stupid. The Democrats so far left today they aren’t going to win in most of the country for awhile.

. . .it is going be almost impossible for Democrats to
retake the House in the next 10 years.

I think we must be wise and govern likewise. We were
thrown out of the Congressional minorities because OUR
elected Republican representatives went on spending spreed
--granted, not as large as the Democrats' spree
but the effect was the same.

Republicans took back the house because the American people
are tired of having their pocketbooks pillaged--it is just
the wrong time to ask the American people for more money.

Here in the metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona area, critical
and important school bond measures failed badly. My
granddaughter was telling us yesterday that the schools
are probably going to wipe out all electives unless the
student wants to pay for them, $250 per elective course;
it will cost athletes $700 to play football with the
freshmen and junior varsity teams being eliminated. It
is yet to be determined how much it will cost basketball,
baseball and track athletes to participate. Many, many
district teachers are going to be let go.

Now, in this kind of climate, if Republicans go on another
spending spree, how long would the American people retain
Republic Congressional leadership or the presidency? I
think it will not retain it at all.

As I say, it will take wise governance to retain the House
and gain control of the Senate and presidency.
