Well, the Indians have been buying Russkie military hardware for a long time.
China is more of an immediate threat to India than anybody else in the world.
However, my take on Obama’s sudden conversion to free trade is that the Russkies have called in a favor from Obama. The ploy is that the USA will transfer advanced aerospace tech to India which will magically appear in the next generation of Russkie weapons systems.
Don’t worry-most of the advanced US aerospace technology that the Chicoms have needed have been acquired from Pakistan over the past two decades and is already appearing in new Chinese products such as the J-10 and JF-17 fighters.
which I might add is being transferred by the gracious Chicoms to Russia. Pesky India, which takes forever to buy weaponry, is just unreliable in these matters.
