Erm, they don’t really do that here. They do believe cows are sacred, in that they are seen as a symbol of life-giving, and are therefore not eaten or (usually) penned up, but beyond that, they’re mostly a nuisance. They’re not really objects of veneration, in that their every action is not seen as some holy event.
I watched the inspection he did yesterday, and it was ok. I do have to say, whatever else you may think of him (and I don’t think highly of him at all), he did give a very clear, snappy salute to the Marines that put him on the chopper when he arrived in Mumbai.
And as an aside, I like the idea of Marine One being a Blackhawk. It’s a pretty sweet bird, and less dumpy-looking than the flying truck the President usually uses here in the US. If I were ever made Prez, I’d request either the Blackhawk or a PAVE LOW (although these were recently retired).
