I teach middle school American history. I absolutely adore it and try every day to make it as interesting and relevant as possible to my kids.
Today we were discussing the debt from the Fr/Indian War and I was able to link it to our national debt today. It was fascinating to see how many of the kids had an understanding that debt=bad and that the gov’t shouldn’t be in the business of creating more of it.
