"Time and again, polling has revealed that the moral compass of the American people is sound and continues to point an ethical way forward for our country."

I don't know. Go to any street corner of any major city in America and you may not reach the same conclusion. Look up the statistics on bastardy. See how many people are on public assistance. See how many people are in jail, or have been there. Just watch TV, for Pete's sake.

The moral compass may be sound, but moral behavior is not in fashion with a great many Americans. Why do I say these things that are so unflattering to our once-great nation? Because delusions and happy fictions won't get us anywhere.

Secularism always leads to perversion, same with Libertarianism, by the way.

I will be long past remembering before this changes, unless Jesus returns soon.

Re “moral behoviour...not in fashion”
And how long has it been since there was a moral LEADER???
Bush was a kinda good guy, morally but leadership in this area certainly wasn’t his best point.
In most of these young people’s lifetime we’ve had the likes of Clinton, Obama, and degenerate rock stars..
Sarah has the magnitizm and message to get their attention and maybe even score a few points for the good guys.
Unlike some dour old white guys.
