I remember watching the show Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous as a kid during the mid-eighties. The host, Robin Leach, led the viewer on tours of the incredible stuff of the uber-rich. There were unimaginable displays of excess like gold plated toilets and personal jets with full time crews. I had never seen anything like it before. It was remarkable to see the people spend money so lavishly. My Dad was in college at the time and we had to pinch pennies until they cried out in pain. It was so disconnected from my reality that it was like watching alien life forms. I was reminded of this sensation when I read the unbelievable details of President Obamas trip to India.
The cost of the Obama trip is estimated at 200 million dollars a day. The budget includes 40 jets, 34 war ships, 400 cars, a presidential limousine, 800 rooms at the Taj Hotel and Hyatt, 3 helicopters, 3 luxury jets, an entourage of 800 personnel, Air Force One and the cost of coconut removal from the trees due to the potential hazard they cause to the president. Just in case you were wondering, the U.S. taxpayer is on the hook for tab.
The billion dollar price tag for this ten day trip begs the question of Why?. When asked about the reason for the presidents visit, Jeff Bader, Senior Director for Asia Affairs at the National Security Council for the White House said that Obama
specifically wanted to celebrate Diwali and to do so with the Indian people.
Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights.

The new House of Representatives should REFUSE to fund obama’s and his wife’s vacations, and severely limit budgets for “official visits” until obama agrees to the repeal of DeathCare!!!!
If obama and the Dims and libs call that “blackmail”, they can just be told to SHOVE IT!!!!
Time to get a real cost. 1 or 2 billion seems much too high an estimate. Remember 1 billion is 1000 Million. I find it hard to believe this trip could cost that much.
We’re paying AT LEAST 200 million a day so Zero can embarrass us in India.
The Imam is creating fodder for the 2012 election and why he should never hold office again along with those covering his rear in Congress.
Good. That's what's keeping the cost down to a mere $200 MM per day.
The poorest of the poor live in India, slums of Bombai. It is inexcusable for our President to spend this sort of money visiting there, I would rather send them food than Obama, it is shameful.
What is the difference between imam and ghazi?
I have been calling him most recently grande ghazi, for his muz outreach.....

Ohhh cool!!! So ABC News, reports the words of Obama’s spokeman at the Pentagon! Well by golly, that’s debunked enough for me!!
I believe the US Navy keeps a carrier group on station in or near the Indian Ocean on a near-permanent basis. So, 34 ships aren’t going “with” Obama, they could just - purely by coincidence, mind you - be repositioned nearer to India while Obama is there. Maybe the swabs will get shore leave so they can get photo ops with the CinC?
Debunked by 0b0z0’s paid press lapdogs..... I wouldn’t trust that commie pig SOB 0b0z0 or his lapdogs any further than I could throw his skinny Kenyan ass.
I’m using the term that Rush uses on his show. I listen to Rush every day!
How sad that you can't come up with a term of your own.
The terms I use can’t be posted on FR.
he knows what's coming in the way of investigations after Jan - which is also why so many of his ratCzars have already skipped town and why rhamTutu has scurried back to Chicago - to try to get things hidden good.
For 2 years, he owned the Congress and they covered his hiney. That's soon to end.
Maybe he's leaving town - and taking half of it with him - to set up his Obotomon Empire. Maybe the largest Mosque in the world that's on his agenda will be his new headquarters.
ahaha - great comeback!
