Accurate? Can anybody here back up these statements with sources? This is a really strong argument, if this is all true.

I’ve been pointing this out to dear leader’s followers for months and the usual response is a total ignore.

I once saw a graph posted here that had a line chart representing the deficit and an area chart that showed the party in charge of the house over time. It covered the last 40 years. I wish I could find that chart again.

well i remember it and wondered why Republicans did not bring it up. but its probably because the did not want to bring up GW to the rabid left. there is a lot they should have defended
GW for. They also should have heeded his words when he asked them to send a conservative budget to him.

This is similar to the myth of the "Reagan Tax Cuts causing a massive deficit".

The Donkey-dominated House of the 1980s (O'Neill, Rostenkowski and the whole gang of idiots) was the entity that pushed all the massive spending bills through, squandering the extra revenue from the tax-cut-expanded economy.

it is very accurate - you can look up topics like budget by fiscal year and see that this is a very good post - it is also the type of FACT that will never be well told - not e4ven by John Boenher or any other leader in congress.

If you plot the number of Republican senators, and the number of Republican Congressmen, alongside a plot of the Dow-Jones, I think you will see consistent positive correlation.

Betcha the liberals and their latchkeys in the LSM will be able to readily recall their ninth grade civics lessons as soon as the Republicans take control of congress. All of sudden the ignorant liberal masses will become experts in the separation of power of the three branches. Hell they might even be able to name the three branches of government as outlined in the ninth grade class

I wish I could find that chart again.

Here is is. Of course, the fact that Clinton didn't have to budget for the Cold War had a lot to do with why he was able to balance the budget.

Bush should get at least some credit for the deficit. Because he asked for the spending for the war (which I support), and he asked for TARP (which I supported, although I didn't like the switch in method after it was sold).

But Bush did keep the war separate from the budget, because the War was a temporary cost that shouldn't continue to recur.

Obama combined the war costs into the budget first thing, so as the war winds down, he'll be able to spend the war money on other things.

And do not forget that Bush seldom if ever vetoed any spending bill. Gave away a billon dollars of our tax money for AIDS research, I mean stole the money from taxpayers and is also a BIG RINO along with Rove.

Also, doubled the size of the DOE, created the BIGGEST transfer of walth in our nations history with his prescription drug benefit for seniors.

So let’s all remember when we are defending GW Bush that he was also along with his dad a socialist, like all the RINO’s in fairy land at the RNC.
