It does appear that he and his cronies desire to be away when something happens in the U.S.A. Narcissism is one explanation, but he certainly does NOT need that much protection! Insane waste of money.
* Stated reason: to celebrate Dawali, the Hindu Festival of Lights. That's obvioulsy not the true reason on its face.
* With 34 warships, it's a stretch of credulity to refer to his group as a mere "entourage". This is a small military with him.
* His party thrown out of power.
* His political opponents, long relegated to backseat status and ignored, finally have the power to demand accountability - something he's never had to render.
* Rep. Darrell Issa, Ranking Member of the House Government Oversight Committee, is set to become the committee chairman. A wave of investigations into White House activities is forthcoming, to be followed by criminal charges.
* Obama has never had to live in the reality of the rest of us and has never had to "man up". Fleeing is the most logical option for him.
* If he were to form a government in exile, now would be the time.
That's just one theory, probably far-fetched, but time will tell. It could be as innocuous as a blatant in-your-face show of power, or something much more sinister.
