Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) pledged on Wednesday to investigate both Barack Obama and George W. Bush with his newfound subpoena power when he takes over as chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

“I’m going to be investigating a president of my own party, because many of the issues we’re working on began [with] President Bush or even before, and haven’t been solved,” Issa said during an interview on MSNBC’s “The Daily Rundown.”

“When we look at the failures of Freddie [Mac] and Fannie [Mae], the Countrywide scandal, those all began during President Bush’s time,” Issa said. “When we look at Mineral Management Service and the ultimate failure in the Gulf, that began years before.””

From the article.

Um, okay. But first investigate why the DOJ didn’t pursue the black panther voter intimidation case.

I’ll investigate both but will only find the crimes committed by the criminal.

I thought the true identity of Robin Masters was never established 100% during the show’s run, hinted around a few times, but never established for sure who he was or might have been.

Issa would do himself and all of us a big favor if he just shut the hell up and quietly go about his investigative business when the opportunity arises. Right now he sounds like a loud mouth, intoxicated with some type of bravado but for which he hasn’t accomplished anything yet to support same.

In fact, Issa sounds identical to that weasle Waxman as he rolled into his chairmanship 2 years ago.

But HIGGINS said he lied about that, so it isn’t for sure.

jesus, when are they gonna remember that for much of Bushes term the House and senate were controlled by dems? Also the whole fanny thing was forced by these same people.

Everytime they blame Bush the GOP needs to shout it from the roof tops. The Dems have caused all this destruction and are getting away with it and that includes the butt boy in chief.

Also, I remeber people talking about the great economy under Clinton. i remember that time fram too and it was beginning to unravel when bush came into office. )/11 didn’t help matters either.
