Gee, I almost feel sorry for him! What a bunch of fake sentiment.

We had this discussion at work today. Chet is not a bad person-he has just been in DC too long and forgot that it was his job to represent his constituents.

I think Chet got caught up in the DC power game. As you say, he is not a bad person, but he chose to align himself with the party’s wishes and needs, and didn’t listen to his constituents. Do you remember before the health care vote he wouldn’t speak to any of us and wouldn’t even indicate which way he would vote? He was waiting to see if Pelosi would let him vote against party lines. It infuriated me and a lot of other people. I’ve never forgotten it.
