The WV governors post will be filled by the State Senate President. There is no office of Lt. Governor in WV.

The only republican who would have a chance to win the governors office in 2012 is Shirley Moore Capito, who quiet honestly is a liberal on most issues. WV Dems do hold an almost 2 to 1 voter registration advantage over the GOP.
