NYS is made up of two parts: The mostly red Upstate, and the blue Downstate. It'll be interesting to see how Upstate's blue metro islands went. Upstate's depopulating rapidly. We're probably going to lose two House seats because of that. Wonder how much of a part that's played in this result, taxpayers bugging out.

Note to folks on the dole in NYS who voted 'Rat: You've just screwed yourselves royally.

Gotcha - am very familiar with red/blue - lived in CA (SF bay area0 and VA (both No and So VA).
That said, with the mess that NY is in, REALLY bad mess where the debt is stunning, you’d think they’d get the message. No wonder folks leave because of taxes - but the NYC crowd seem to have very deep pockets and don’t mind that their wealth is being spread...
