And taking the Senate was always a huge reach and not something I even wanted as long as McConnell leads.
None of these are unexpected. The only one that would be slightly depressing is Angle. Well and Raese but that we had fair warning of in advance. Putting another way Miller or ANgle losing would upset me. The rest of those named I didn’t expect or in the case of Raese had warning.
Well, Manchin may end up being more conservative than Castle would have been, so maybe it’s wash. Also, I’m pretty sure the seat is up again in 2012 as this was a special election. So Manchin is on probation. He’ll pretty much vote against everything Obama is for. He knows if he supports Obama and the dems between now and 2012 he’ll be gone.
I’d be pissed if Miller, Rossi and Angle lost. But other than that we knew the others might not go our way. We all knew Firoina was no good, but we’ll about California. Raese didn’t counter punch Manchin in the final days. We shall see about that race too.
