Media won't cover Boxer's scandals
American Thinker ^ | November 1, 2010 | Tim Ziegler

Barbara Boxer maintains a small lead over Carly Fiorina, in spite of the blogosphere reporting on two scandals involving the incumbent Democrat. The first is a story that received hundreds of thousands of ‘hits' and was first broken by Scott Swett in mid-October on The American Thinker blog: Barbara Boxer, Code Pink's Favorite Senator

Perhaps the most revealing window into Boxer's true feelings towards our military is her close alliance with Code Pink, a radical leftist group that reviles American troops as terrorists and assassins while praising their enemies as freedom fighters.  For years, Code Pink has viciously harassed wounded veterans and their families outside Walter Reed Hospital, even telling the mother of a slain Navy Seal that her son "deserved to die."  Code Pink actively supports terror groups such as Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Taliban, Hezbollah and al Qaeda.

Later in the same article Swett lowers the boom on Senator Boxer:

Code Pink's leaders had just returned from Fallujah, Iraq, where 51 Americans had been killed and 560 wounded in the US Marines' heaviest urban combat since the Vietnam War.  Code Pink delivered $600,000 in cash and supplies to the very insurgents the Marines had been fighting against - quite literally giving aid and comfort to America's enemies in a time of war.  As noted in Islam Online (removed from the site -- it is revealing that Islam Online seems willing to delete articles to protect a leftist American politician -- but cached here), a diplomatic courtesy letter from Barbara Boxer helped make the trip possible.

Conveniently Senator Boxer's office has stonewalled the acquisition of her letter but her colleague Congressman Henry Waxman, now known in the blogosphere as one of  "The Fallujah Four"  was less able to hide his letter, which was posted here at Andrew Breitbart's  Big Peace.com  At virtually the same time  Senator John McCain lambasted Senator Boxer,  as reported by Politico:

"Sen. Boxer is the most bitterly partisan, most anti-defense senator in the United States Senate today," McCain said during the rally in Balboa Park, alongside other combat veterans and GOP activists. "And I know that because I've had the unpleasant experience of having served with her."

"Barbara Boxer wants to waive the white flag of surrender and endanger this nation's national security," the Arizona Republican added. "It's time she went back to San Francisco with Nancy Pelosi."

For anyone who remembers the John McCain of 2008, that is some strong medicine. Senator McCain never said anything so direct about Senator Obama while they were both running for the Presidency.

This is some fascinating stuff isn't it? As the pitchmen on TV often say, "Wait, there's more."

On Saturday, October 30, 2010, Rick Manning of "The Hill's Pundits Blog" wrote a devastating article titled "Barb Boxer's Indian tribe take, the lead of which is:
For the past 10 years Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) has been playing a game that would make Jack Abramoff blush, a game that can best be described using the language of "Get Smart's" Maxwell Smart as "the ole family-profiting-off-of-the-Indian-tribe-that-you-created trick."
The article goes on to detail Senator Boxer's son Doug as profiting in upwards of $8 million dollars for services rendered to the ‘tribe'.

One would think that such incredible scandals would pique the interest of the modern press. However, that seems not to be the case. In spite of Google searches of terms like: BOXER CODE PINK FALLUJAH and BOXER SON TRIBE rendering 10's of thousands of hits to numerous articles like the ones quoted above, not one mainstream news reporter has had the curiosity or temerity to directly question Senator Boxer on either of these issues.

Wouldn't you think that a budding Woodward or Bernstein would ask the Senator, "What did you know and when did you know it?" California voters have been finding out about these stories from Google searches, the blogosphere and internet forums but decidedly not from The Los Angeles Times, Fox News or The San Francisco Chronicle. The comments on all the articles at their sources quoted above range from tepid to terrific.

Whether or not Senator Boxer is re-elected on Tuesday the WDYKAWDYKI question needs to be asked. It would have sure been nice for that question to have occurred last week so that California voters could make their own determination of veracity of her answer prior to casting their vote. To paraphrase an old saying, "Why let one Liberal Senator in-hand go to get two budding scandals in the bush when no one will know if those scandals occurred if we don't tell them?"

That's exactly what I mean. No more being polite. If the alphabet channels make an erroneous statement the conservative Pols and commentators need to quickly and loudly refute it to the world AND to the original liar if it's possible.

They're gonna be cryin in their beer after tomorrow anyway, snicker.
