Mr. Carville, the celebrity strategist behind Bill Clintons presidential campaigns, was warning a hurricane would descend on Washington on Nov. 1. The only question: Whether it was a minor or a major one.
In Calgary on Friday, for the Teatro Speakers Series, Mr. Carville was more definitive. It would be disastrous.
It was said of Mike Tyson, he hits you so hard, he changes the way you taste, Mr. Carville says. For Democrats, foods going to taste very different Wednesday morning. .........
Mr. Carville concedes that he is more pessimistic than most Democrats about Tuesdays mid-term Congressional elections.
He thinks the Senate may go Republican, not just the House, since theyve always, historically, flipped together. Oh, and hes not sure Mr. Obama will run in 2012; he doesnt seem to like the job.
I hope Im wrong, he says of his outlook. Yet he doesnt seem especially troubled. After all, he believes, its not his partys fault, but larger forces conspiring against them.

Crossfire???? Crossfire????
Hmmmm... Sounds familiar. But I don’t remember CNN ever having a serious political show.
Is this the same hack that wrote a book recently about the decade domination of the democrat party? So much for his opinion.
"I vant to suck your blood!"
Joe Biden - 11/3/2010
Unless the GOP nominates a turd candidate in 2012, Obama is out (barring an historic economic boom, but we know that won’t happen).
Where are the Dems going to get an “elder statesman” to tell obummer the news?
the DUmmy forums are going to explode on the 3rd. I wonder if the Obamaniacs really thought that the Clintonites made peace after he was elected. All those PUMA signs were just stored away temporarily, not permanently.
You did hold your nose and pull the lever for McCain like the rest of us, didn't you? ;-)
They’ve been sharpening them for at least the last 6 months. Obama is so arrogant, he’s not going to see it coming.
Nice touch with the waste basket.
Like a lot of Democrats, James didn't foresee the absolute "damn the torpedoes" attitude of the Zerobama-Pelosi Axis to implement a far left-wing agenda regardless of the resistance of the electorate.
The thousand year Third Reich didn't work out too well, either.
Expect this to be the meme on Nov 3.
“Mr. Carville says. For Democrats, foods going to taste very different Wednesday morning.
That’s right, no more 5 star meals on the taxpayers’ dime.
Wonder if the party will change it’s name?.
I used to wonder if Obama was deliberately creating chaos and havoc for his party, or if he was really that incompetent. How does a guy go from Messiah to moron in two years?
Ive come think that this is probably all part of a brilliant, albeit Machiavellian political strategy on Obamas part. Obama knew he was going to lose control of the Congress in the mid-terms, anyway. So he went for broke while he had the majority, setting the stage for all kinds of confrontations to come.
Despite having bullet-proof majorities, Obama complained whenever his own party bolted and stalled some piece of legislation that the Republicans were obstructionist and the Party of NO!
Obama is a lousy president, but he is an absolute genius in the application of class warfare. When the GOP sweeps into power, hell have them exactly where he wants them.
They are the ones who will have to make the tough decisions about what social programs to cut.
Two years from now, Obama have most of the country blaming the Republicans for the mess he deliberately caused over the last two years. Newt Gingrich led the GOP to victory in 1994 with his Contract with America that ultimately led to a balanced budget five years later.
But TIME Magazines cover that Christmas featured a picture of Newt Gingrich under the caption, The Grinch That Stole Christmas. In 1994, everybody wrote of Bill Clinton as a one-term president.
The collapse began in the waning hours of the Bush administration, but everything Obama has done since taking office has been aimed at making the situation worse.
That puts the Republicans in the drivers seat at just the right moment for Obamas Fed to pull the hyperinflation trigger so that the blame falls on the GOP, oh, sometime around the beginning of 2012.
No matter what happens tomorrow, I wouldnt count Obama out in 2012 just yet.
He believes it’s not his party’s fault? Well then, whose fault is it? His party controls 98% of the media. His party knew Obama was illegitimate, ignorant, had zero experience, held decidedly un-American beliefs — yet they chose him as their candidade.
Note to Snakehead: It IS your party’s fault!
The going-galt force is a real bitch.
obama isn’t poop by himself. He may be a great campaigner, but he’s all politics and no policy, and even to be a campaigner he needs to be surrounded by competent political people. Many of them have already left. On Wednesday, many more will be plotting their hasty exit, stage left.
I don’t think the dems have to push him out. They are just going to abandon ship.
