Dems Expect Senate Losses But Hope To Keep Control

WASHINGTON (AP) - Republicans are poised to dramatically shrink the Democrats Senate majority and further complicate President Obama's agenda, even if they fall short of seizing control of the 100-member chamber.

Republicans must pick up 10 seats to regain the majority they lost four years ago. Analysts in both parties consider that a tough task. The GOP would have to win every toss-up race, plus score upsets in California, Washington or perhaps Connecticut; Obama coasted in those states in 2008.

Republicans seem almost certain to pick up Senate seats in North Dakota and Indiana - where veteran Democrats are retiring - and in Arkansas, where two-term Sen. Blanche Lincoln consistently has trailed Republican John Boozman in polls. Obama lost Arkansas by 20 percentage points in 2008.

With a slim rat majority in the Senate the RINOs won’t hold the balance and the democrats can’t run against a Republican Congress in 2 years

It is all about TURNOUT folks! Google “turnout” in Google news and you will see how many races around the country hinge on who shows up on Tuesday.

FReepers will be there, but we must get everybody else we know to the polls!

Take nothing for granted!!!!!!

If Manchin wins we will see if he is serious about not being a rubber stamp for 0bama. Maybe if he and Ben Nelson join the Repubs on some issues they can eke out a majority. But I do not trust them. Both have to run for reelection in ‘12 so they have to be careful though.

Folks, our team can win every contested Senate seat if we just turnout in massive numbers to vote for our gals & guys!!! That laudable goal is clearly and objectively in reach. So....get out and vote for our team on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 enmasse and.....destroy the entire “hate America” Democrat Party and America destroyer POTUS Barack Hussein Obama. Remember November 2, 2010!!!!

RCP also has Republicans with 45 Senate seats and 7 in toss-up category.

Which doesn’t quite seem consistent with reporter’s claim “The GOP would have to win every toss-up race, plus score upsets in California, Washington or perhaps Connecticut”

Winning to Senate surely will be harder than winning the House. But reporters aren’t shooting straight when they imply that pulling this off would be the political equivalent of drawing 4 cards into a royal flush.

"Dems Expect Senate Losses But Hope To Keep Control"

If this election goes the way I pray that it goes, the dims will be lucky to control their own bladders, much less the legislative agenda.

The report is from AP. What's more to say. The latest poll in Pennsylvania has Ed Rendell's hand-picked successor running 7 points behind Tom Corbett, but Pat Toomey only two points ahead of Joe Sleezetak.

If this is to be believed, it means one in 20 Pennsylvania voters wants to quit p*ssing in our own water supply, but wants to p*ss in the nation's water supply. Pathetic.

Our county had to overnight more cartridges for voting machines because early voters filled up several of the voting machines. They also had to print more paper ballots in case the cartridges don’t make it in time. They are swamped!

Any Democrat who believes they will retain control of Congress, especially the House, after next Tuesday must live on another planet or be taking LSD.

Yes!!!

1. In the immediate short term, it renders the RINOs useless.
2. As I've been posting for nearly 2 years, the perfect scenario would be leaving the Rats “in control” of both chambers with majorities of 1-3 seats. Nothing gets done and Obama cannot run against the boogieman of a GOP Congress ala Clinton in 1996. Then the GOP runs on a “clean sweep of all 3 chambers” in 2012.

There are many variables I am ignoring in the aforementioned scenario, the biggest being if (GOD FORBID) one of the 5 center-right leaning SCOTUS Justices exists, then yes, a GOP-controlled Senate would be huge in stopping Obama from naming yet another uber-lefty. But, with prayers up, hopefully the current makeup for the 5 good guys stays intact.

I partially agree, but Obama is blaming the Repubs now for being obstructionists. So why would that change in 2012?

He is going to blame Bush for the economy and Repubs for anything that will benefit him. Sadly, there are plenty of people that might buy into it...

Boxer will win by her usual substantial margin, unfortunately. Fiorina has about as much chance as O’Donnell over in Delaware.
