What is it about fame, money, power, and infidelity? It seems that the more money and power than a man has, the more likely he is to be as cavalier with his marriage vows as Jenn Sterger is with the neckline of a Florida State fitted tee.
Just cut it down the middle, and let it all hang out baby.
Obviously, Brett Favre is the marital-infidelity whipping boy of du jour, but let's not pretend Favre is alone. And, for that matter, let's not pretend this is just about sports.
If prostitution is the world's oldest profession, it owes its longevity to the time-honored tradition of mixing power and infidelity. As sports has merged with pop culture which has merged with politics which has merged with traditional concepts of royalty and led to a blending together of all of those concepts, one truth remains vital and self-evident.
Men in power behave like dogs.

Something like that happened to George W. Bush when he was working on his father’s presidential campaign. A staffer made advances to him and he sent her packing.
An aide suggested he be more tactful. He just said, “I’m a married man.”
How would you describe the behavior of the women who make themselves available to men in power?
That's why OJ Simpson is at the top of my list (Robert Blake is a close 2nd)
I can’t watch all the ads...Did OJ make the list at no. 1?
One of the worst humans!
Because this list (I stopped at 27) is obviously a conservative bashing list. It accuses and excuses JFK and RFK for having an affair with Marilyn Monroe ... as in, like who wouldn’t? It ignores that JFK had innumerable other affairs, one with a mob boss’ girlfriend.
Someone be good and compile and post these, please. Its a very good list.
Like Groucho Marx not wanting to join any club that would have him. Or maybe it was WC Fields.
Technically, OJ was an ex-husband at the time.
Don’t know if he still counts.
“Tiger is among the worst ..”
Many times the mighty fall and fall hard. I predict that sometime in the next 10 months, stories about Phil Mickelson’s sleazy side will surface.
Any truly worthwhile list would have most if not all of the male Kennedys on it.
Old Joe, JFK, RFK, Teddy, Joe II (tried to get an annulment but ex-wife fought it all the way to Rome and won), and Michael (was in the midst of scandal for seducing his kids’ babysitter when he skied into a tree) all treated their wives deplorably. JFK was continually infected with venereal disease, which may well have contributed to Jackie’s miscarriages.
Rose and Ethel ignored their husbands’ infidelity, spent a lot of money, and had a lot of babies; Jackie used JFK’s infidelity as leverage to get more money out of Old Joe; Joan drank a lot; Joe II’s wife Sheila divorced him; and Michael’s wife Victoria (Frank Gifford’s daughter) was estranged from him at the time of his death.
Say it isn’t so!
Newt?
Pretty bad list. 99 of the 100 worst husbands of all time lived in the last 100 years? Henry VIII would seem to be the obvious choice for worst husband but didn’t make the top 20.
Hoo boy. And we didn’t even get to the driving or the swimming.
I’ll say this: I thank God for the Kennedy’s because they have given me the understanding that money, fame and power may not only fail to fulfill you, but can corrupt, soil and destroy you if you don’t keep your head on your shoulders.
Look what it has done to that miserable lot.
If the certificate don’t fit, you must acquit, Well done.
“Say it isnt so!”
The rumors are out there.
Did he pull a John Edwards?
Must have been before Mel Gibson.
