Really, what is your problem? I’ve made no attack on you, I’ve not voiced an opinion one way or the other on this subject (although I certainly have one) and I only said that my son said “who cares.”

Well, you seem very open to the idea of queers in the military, right? If so, I wish you all the worst that life can offer. Too bad you didn't raise your son right, he would be revolted by the thought too. I showed my son, who is not quite 18 yet, this thread and he looked at some of the responses like yours and was disgusted by it. He said "gays in the military you've got to be kidding".
You couldn’t be more right. Generally. when people over-respond so disgustingly, it’s because the subject hits far too close to home for them to act human.
