My guess is that India is a rapidly emerging economy which is on a trajectory to overtaking China in both population and income. He wants them to finance American debt and diversify our creditor portfolio.

I don't think they will bite. Most of the people from India which I've known over my career make a Dutchman look generous.

If I am not mistaken, Indis has a lot of GOLD and they could readjust the price of gold per troy ounce. Gold was down a little today but it was still over 1300 bucks a troy oz....just a thought.
