Rep. Mike Pence (R., Ind.), the third-ranking Republican in the House, is weighing whether to step down from his post as chairman of the House Republican Conference in preparation for a possible run for president or Indiana governor in 2012, Politico reports.
Pence has come to occupy an unusual niche over the past two years. Hes one of the few Washington political leaders whos won widespread support among tea party activists, and hes spoken at various tea party events.
He also won the presidential straw poll at the recent Value Voters summit. At the same time, he plays an important role in the House Republican leadership

Lord, send us courageous and relentless American patriots who love their country.
Bonehead and Cantor should be removed from their post.
Pence should become the soon to be Majority leader.
Hopefully, one of a flock of good, solid conservatives who'll have the spine, principles, commitment and fortitude to bear the pressure and slings and arrows to step up to the plate in any number of vital government positions going forward.
Lord, send us courageous and relentless American patriots who love their country.
Palin 2012
maggief has a posting that gave us a hint about this yesterday considering his surprising allegiances.
Pence SHOULD Run For Gov before making the leap to prez.
He’ll likely be facing Ellsworth, who is about to lose the senate race. He’s a much better candidate than Becky Skillman, no matter how masterful at administration she is.
A partial list of elites.

Ah ha! We shall see.
Any cross-the-aisle, easy, appeasing, giddy
to work together pubbies can take a hike.
The American people are speaking now, and
their voices will be cacaphonous on Nov. 2.
Little Lord Lindsey spewed his garbage today..
about ‘working together’... cause that’s what
the American people want.’

“My belief is that, if we get back power in the House, and get close in the Senate, that we ought to really clamp down on spending and reform the government,” Graham said on WVOC radio in South Carolina.
“But we ought to not put ourself in a position of being the ‘party of no’ to hard problems. But we ought to sit down with the president and work on Social Security, come up with an energy policy without cap-and-trade.

Graham himself had already drawn the ire of some conservatives in his own party over the past two years for his willingness to work with Democrats. He’d sought to accomplish comprehensive immigration reform and a comprehensive energy and climate bill earlier in the session, but negotiations on those proposals eventually broke down.
But other Republicans have sought to take a harder line toward Obama and congressional Democrats.
Rep. Mike Pence (Ind.), the third-ranking House Republican, vowed “no compromise” on major issues last week. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), meanwhile, said in an interview published this week that Republicans’ No. 1 priority would be defeating Obama in 2012.
Stay outta our way, Lindsey!!!
“Stay outta our way, Lindsey!!!”
Then Primary him out when he is up for re-election!
Thank you very much, ma’am .. ;)
What do you think I’d do if I lived
in his state ?
Vote early and often for him!
Lunacy!
The election of Speaker needs to be the next race that conservatives focus on. If John “can’t we all just g-g-get along?” Boehner wins, conservatives winning dozens of seats will largely be for naught. The Speaker and his cohorts control the agenda. It isn’t like the Senate where individual Senators have some real say. And you can bet that Boehner and Cantor can’t wait to work deals with the Democrats to keep things as they are.
R u talking about Pence or Graham?
I thought u were talking about Pence, not Graham.
My apologies.
I agree with you. Pence as a governor will gain valuable experience in an executive position which being a rep in Congress does not.
Having been both will benefit his resume. But, the Founders of this nation understood that leadership can come from anywhere and anyone. The eligibility requirements for President of the United States are thus sparse, and leave the choice to the people.
Look back thru your posts.
Okay.
Why hasn’t John Boehner gone ballistic over the voting irregularities, especially the SEIU maintained voting machines in Nevada that show Reid’s name even after the voter votes for Angle?
Why haven’t the Republicans as a group made an issue over all of the voting irregularites since they all favor Democrats?
Most importantly, why are our American servicemen being denied their votes??? Why is this being allowed??? This is b/s. I want this corrected for good.
