Microsoft just announced that starting in 2013 employees will have to pay towards their health care. So far it has been cost free to employees and will now be considered a Cadillac Plan to be taxed by Obamacare at 40%.
Microsoft said that is too big an increase to absorb so will now have employees pay towards their plan. This has always been considered part of the total compensation package so am wondering if they will receive a raise to cover the cost.
I am amazed this was announce before the election! Isn't Bill Gates a big Obama supporter?

I don’t think Gates has too much to do with Microsoft these days, at least on a day-to-day basis. He was a “big Obama supporter,” though. More to the point, it’s my understanding that many if not most Microsofties are left-wingers who flatter themselves by thinking that they are part of the “elite.” I’m sure they’re happy to have to pay more out of their own pockets to support their hero Obama.
