With a pre-med degree, not getting into med school, I worked in a factory that recycled oil and helped save the company a cool six figures in a year while being paid $3.25 per hour. Had to wash my clothes in lye daily, as nothing weaker would clean it.
I didn’t make a career of it, because I learned enough to see the shady side of the job. Different jobs and industries have different needs.
And to the guy who thinks lower taxes and less regulation aren’t enough. Higher taxes and more regulation got us into the mess. Reversing course will take time, but it’s the only thing that will get us out the mess. But we will probably go through a collapse like Russia in the early 1990s first. Government employees will be hard hit (sob).
