It really hasnt been too much of a stretch to call Nevadas Senate race the most-watched midterm election in the nation, but now theres independent confirmation from a nationally-recognized assessor: Saturday Night Live.
SNL featured Senate Majority Leader Harry Reids Las Vegas Rally with President Barack Obama as its opening spoof sketch Saturday night with a little twist.

Yea pretty weak. They probably thought they were being dangerously edgy mentioning the birth certificate.
Last night's show was an all time stinker. I wonder if they cut the writing staff in half when the host is a nobody.
Speaking of wasting time, think I'll go back to watching the 49er game...
Writers possibly Hillary supporters? Being in NY and all. Just wondering.
Thanks for mocking Obama on withholding his birth certificate! :-)
SNL with that one jab have done more than all of Fox and Rush Limbaugh together!
KEEP IT UP!
I just watched it again with my daughter... it’s really biting. Reminded me of how they started taking the piss out of Clinton towards the end.
Lame. Very lame.
Anna, SNL should hire you!
I think it had more to do with the terrible writing than the political views of the audience.
Kind of.
They did a line on WEEKEND UPDATE, something like this:
"Williams got fired by NPR for saying Muslims scared him. FOX hired him. It's the first time a reporter got fired and hired for the same phrase."
ALSO they said, "Republicans are trying to protect a BLACK guy named JUAN."
Maybe that's because we're not the ones who are racist.
The video you linked to has already been scrubbed.
Your tax dollars at work.
Pretty sad. It’s like they took a Rush Limbaugh monologue and removed the humor and wit.
I don't know about that... but if they were smart they'd lurk here daily... there's comedy gold on some threads.
There are a lot of witty writers and comedians out there... when I see SNL's Obama and Reid impersonators, I'm awed by the absence of even an attempt to get it right.
