I go into some of the corrupt Republicans For Reid in my book (click my name to see more).

Anyone on that list has a red flag by their name saying “investigate me, I’m corrupt”. A good portion are toadies feeding at the trough.

I haven’t heard of any of ‘em. Another desperate ploy by the Dems and some RINO’s (closet Dems) to make it look like Reid is more worthwhile than he is. You can try to polish a turd but at the end of the day, it’s still just a turd.

Money has to be changing hands here. No sane person could vote for 15% unemployment.

The paper is a complete joke with circulation in the tank and profitability barely there.

The Sun get inserted into the LVRJ and is circulated as an insert.

I don't recall the exact details but, the Sun was broke and couldn't survive, there is some kind of law that says major cities have to have at least two competing major newspapers so the LVRJ was forced to insert the Sun to help them distribute it.

If someone knows the details better than I, please feel free to add to this.

I am REALLY not buying this. Sig Rogich has been around since Reagan and seems to be solid except for his friendship with McCain. Something smells.

Here's an annoucement from back in June 2009 about the fromation of this group. If this is accurate I'm not sure why except that they want to keep the money flowing their way.

PROMINENT NEVADANS LAUNCH "REPUBLICANS FOR REID"

LAS VEGAS [6/03/09] - Even though the election won't be held until a year and a half from now, nearly 60 prominent Nevadans have joined forces to create "Republicans for Reid." The group's co-chairs are long-time Republican operative and George H.W. Bush advisor Sig Rogich, and Sparks Mayor Geno Martini.

Sheila RINOs for Reid… Boycott Their Business list “Recommended. Not Final”

Note: A few names listed here may have only donated money to Reid and they do not support him. When they publically denounce Reid for using their names without authorization, they will be removed from the list, provided they have donated an equal or greater amount to Sharron Angle and Republican candidates. We understand that sometimes, this is just the way business is done, even though it stinks.

A disgusting creature that manages to sink even lower than a democrat. 6 years after being defeated in the primary, my former RINO congressman is still calling himself a republican and still waging jihad against conservatives.

Now that his Republican Party has a candidate to oppose Reid — former Assemblywoman Sharron Angle — Martini is sticking by Reid.

“It’s beneficial for him to be in Washington, D.C., for Sparks,” Martini said in a recent interview. “We can’t rely on a new person, especially Sharron Angle, to do anything for us here in Sparks. Harry Reid’s been very good for us for many, many years.”

Asked to expand on his “especially Sharron Angle” comment, Martini said: “Never mind about Sharron Angle. I just don’t think that she’s the right fit for us in Washington, D.C.”

Having lived most of my life in Nevada, I have talked with, heard speak, or know a large portion of the people on this list. All of these are self-serving RINO’s. Their politics has been and continues to be all about personal greed for money or power. I have also personally heard a number of these “Republicans for Reid” verbally trash Reid to a great extent. What hypocrisy!
Angle scares the crap out of these types because she will not kiss their backsides, and, for now, cannot be ‘bought’.

For all his faults, Reid has been fairly successful in defending Nevada’s gaming and mining industries from federal government intrusion. That’s likely where a lot of this support is coming from.
