The war logs contain repeated references to weapons smuggling and co-ordination of attacks by Teheran, even claiming that Iranian elements would dictate where assassination targets should be shot.

The biggest mistake that Bush and Rumsfeld made in 2003 was not right-wheeling into Iran after Baghdad fell. Why that country and its population of fanatics is not a smoldering crater in the ground today is beyond me.

The Iranians were scared witless in 2003 and afraid we might do just that. Everyone who remembers 1979, including the Iranians, knows that the US owns Iran a giant shipment of whipass. We don’t have to restore a civil government in Iran, just break up their toys real good, including anything that even is remotely useful for making a nuclear weapon.
