No, Fox News did the right thing hiring Juan. Otherwise, it is just an echo chamber. You need to bounce ideas off of people with different backgrounds, you don’t hide from them.

AMEN!! The travesty of NPR's firing Juan Williams is that they are engaging in "group think" to the extent that there's too much "group" and not enough "think"!

Juan Williams' voices his opinion on issues--it is what a news analyst does. I don't have to agree with him--and I often DO NOT--but I sure as hell will defend his right to state those opinions, because without such defense what rights will remain for me when I seek to express my opinions.

Of course, ALL my opinions are right since they are based on brilliant logic, scholarly erudition, superior intellect, and the high esteem in which they are held by my own ego!:)
