Nixon was one man. That is not all Republicans.

A democrat congress Created the EPA.

Democrat congresses created almost all government agencies and programs including social security and medicare.

The Republican Congress stopped Clinton’s government healthcare and Amnesty for illegals for all their 12 years.

No one cares what you Republican Haters say .The American people are smarter than you are and we will vote vote in 100 more Republicans into Congress! and your little propaganda here won’t make a difference.

Uh, I hate to break this news to you, but here it is:

A Republican President helped create the EPA. It had bipartisan support, with

Richard Nixon created the EPA. Yes, it was a Democrat Congress, but Richard Nixon was very much on-board with the creation of the EPA.

Matter of fact, Nixon signed most all of the big environmental bills that gave the EPA their teeth. The Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, FLPMA, etc. The support for the enabling legislation in Congress was hugely bipartisan.

So the Democrats were not alone in creating this situation. The Republicans had a FULL hand in it.

ABSOLUTELY! The first order of business once the R’s take back congress. Take away the law powers of the EPA! They should never have been given any such power in the first place.

Another stunning success for the free trade movement.

Another talking-point for the economically ignorant.

The U.S. has become dependent on virtually one supplier of crucial minerals: Step 1--blame the free market, Step 2--blame the Republican Party, and Step 3--change the subject to illegal immigration.

Typical FR Third Party malcontent thread.

That was a democrat Congress.

in 1994 You start with zero government.

THAt’S when Republican Congress took over.

Then you add ONLY the agencies that The Republican congress created . Now list those and the budget for those and then we can debate that government in relation to this country and if that is a huge government ok?

I suspect many of you have been brainwashed by the liberal media or are democrat operatives.

I see. Good analysis.

These 3rd party brainwashed puppets of the media are allies of the democrats/socialists. They have absolutely no clue.

Free trade is not the problem.

The problem is the gummit bungling that ties our manufacturers in knots.

EPA, Endangered Species Act, Obummer Care, on and on and on.

Chinese labor rates are blamed simply because most people do not think the problem through.

Chinese wages were a minuscule fraction of our wages long before I was born and I can assure you that was a long time ago.

So what has changed? The main thing that has changed is the gummit bureaucracy; the myriad of agencies, permits, legal issues, tax laws. etc., that make it very difficult for our industry to compete. Containerized freight and a few other things have made it cheaper to import goods from overseas, but American industry is smart enough to be able to compete with anyone providing our gummit stays out of the way.

We didn't shut the mines, moron.

Government over-regulation simply increases costs. Mines and companies close when a cheaper alternative overseas then presents itself.

If we didn't let the Chinese have free access to our markets perhaps the mines still would be open - albeit at a higher cost of production.

Bush is one man. Bush was for illegals and he was in control of border control.Republicans in Congress opposed Bush and stopped Amnesty for illegals.

What about Bush is not all Republicans don’t you get?

It’s democrats that want illegals to come to the USA:

Illegal aliens are an integral part of the Marxist/socialist takeover of America.
These illegals are being groomed to be a permanent Democrat underclass voting bloc.

But the liberal media and many here, like you democrat liars, say the problem are Republicans, who are the ones who stopped Amnesty for the 12 years they held a simple majority.

Go support your democrats/socialists.

And stop spamming this forum. whatever you say means nothin

"Nixon was one man. That is not all Republicans. A democrat congress Created the EPA.

You must be young or have a short memory but most of the original EPA mandates was given by large bipartisan votes. It has now grown out of control and must be controlled. I don't think that all of the work needs to be stopped just what they have not been authorized to do and control what they are authorized to do. Much of the problem is the courts BTW so the rules must be made unambiguous and crystal clear.

Increase the costs of the mineral-producer, and increase the costs of the mineral consumers to compensate. Absolutely brilliant . . . economic prosperity is right around the corner.

Increase the costs of the mineral-producer, and increase the costs of the mineral consumers to compensate.

That's your government in action.

The only way they could make it worse for a domestic producer is to allow unfettered foreign access to your market while denying through a number of schemes for you to even export. Then its goodbye jobs and industry.

Listen to to yourself: the worst-case scenario is happening right now. A mine that has been shut-down by the government cannot export, period. Please tell me you see this.

Facts that you can’t refute.
