Rather, it is the plan of drug lords from Mexico and Columbia, who strategically market the drug to middle America with new, sophisticated techniques.
Packets of heroin are now stamped with popular brand names like Chevrolet or Prada, or marketed using blockbuster movies aimed at young people, like the Twilight series.
"Those drug traffickers were marketing that Heroin directly towards teenagers," says John Gilbride of the DEA in New York.

The offense of drug trafficking should be federal and carry a mandatory death sentence. There should be a single one-track court system set up just for them. Between arrest, conviction and completion of sentence with one mandatory appeal should be 2 weeks.
Heroin use is definitely a problem among teens and young adults on Whidbey Island, WA. Sometimes I think the police/sheriffs turn a blind eye to it.
And anyone that would shoot junk into their veins because the package had a Prada logo is a moron.
Sorry, but most people do not need the Nanny/Police State to protect them from those who want to sell drugs.

These aren’t hardened criminal adults. They are high school and middle school kids being given (free at first) 60% proof heroin (one use is enough to create an addict or overdose).
heroin is no joke. Your kid will do anything to get more. Including breaking and entering your friendly neighbors house while they are sleeping to steal.
I know this for sure, and when caught, that is a class of felony that will put them in a maximum security prison.
A normal kid will go crazy on this before your eyes
Spoken in absolute ignorance of the true cost to our society from meth and herroine use. I suggest you go volunteer at your local jail for a while - or victim help center. Maybe spend a little time just across the border too.

I think we need to legalize all drugs and end the War on Drugs. Then the price will come down and more kids will get to try them and get hooked. Then the criminal suppliers will magically go out of business. /s
