Obama: Dems are in trouble because Americans aren't thinking clearly

At a Saturday-evening fundraiser held in the home of a wealthy Massachusetts hospital executive, President Obama suggested Democrats are having difficulties in midterm campaigning because Americans simply aren't thinking clearly. Seeking to explain his party's troubles, the president focused not on controversial legislation like national health care and the stimulus but on evolutionary psychology. "Part of the reason that our politics seems so tough right now, and facts and science and argument do not seem to be winning the day all the time, is because we're hard-wired not to always think clearly when we're scared," Obama told the assembled Democrats, who paid $15,200 a person to attend. "And the country is scared."

To "break through the fear and the frustration that people are feeling right now," Obama told the crowd, will require high-end donors not just to "write checks" but also to "lift up people's spirits and make sure that they're not reacting just to fear."

In a now-infamous April 2008 speech to a similarly posh fundraiser in San Francisco, Obama discussed Pennsylvanians who had seen their standard of living decline in recent years by saying: "It's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." In the ensuing controversy over his remarks, Obama did not apologize or back down from his position but conceded he had made "poor word choices."

First Lady Michelle Obama has also occasionally diagnosed the American public. According to an account in the New Yorker, she said at a March 2008 rally in South Carolina that Americans are "guided by fear" and that the United States as a country is "just downright mean."

“Obama: Dems are in trouble because Americans aren’t thinking clearly”

Actually, Americans ARE thinking clearly after two years of disastrous democratic policies. That’s why the democrats are going to lose the majority in the House, and maybe, just maybe the Senate too. Thank God Americans are finally seeing the light.

I believe I recall that people were scared in 2008 when the housing market collapsed, and the banking system imploded. They panicked and voted for the donkey from Shrek, only to discover that he talked too much and everything he did and said made things worse. So now people aren’t scared anymore. They’ve thought it out, and decided that the donkey is the problem, not the solution. So out he goes. Whatever the solution really is, part of it is getting rid of the donkey. Especially when he sounds so condescending and stupid both at the same time.

So Zer0 thinks he can sneak a $1.3 trillion budget deficit under the nose of the American public? For those who have clear thinking, that is a taking of $1.3 trillion out of the private sector. That $1.3 trillion could have generated a lot more jobs than growing the black hole of government. Stick that into you black hole of government Zer0! You and your DemonRAT lackeys are going to get the shaft!

Michelle says Americans are “downright mean.” Barry says that Americans are a bitter people clinging to guns and bibles and Eric Holder says that we are a nation of cowards. With such a naked hatred of Americans it’s perplexing why the Dems can’t figure out why they are going to get wiped out on November 4. Barry’s campaign of Bush-bashing was nothing more than a hatefest with no positive plan for the future.

Oh? Who was it going around saying the Bush economy was the worst economy since The Great Depression back when unemployment was at 4.5% and The Stock Market was at 15,000?

Oh, yeah. It was Candidate Bohica.

Gee. What's changed? If 4.5% unemployment indicated the worst economy since The Great Depression, what does 9.7% unemployment represent?

Oops. Oh, yeah. A recovery.

What a moron.

My initial response was to slam Zero. Upon further reflection, I am just going to let him and his socialist ilk continue talking to their hearts’ content without any input from me. November 2 is coming fast and voters really don’t like being spoken down to by this mental midget who has seriously damaged this country. Belittling citizens’ intelligence, then expecting them to vote to keep your party in power is either the height of arrogance the depths of stupidity. I am just not sure which. Considering the source, maybe both.

Everybody wants him, the people and the police and all the pretty ladies disarm.
Oh yeah, the beautiful gent, you know he has hardly a cent.
He pays his monthly rent with daily charm.

Hands off the man, the flim flam man.
His mind is up his sleeve and his talk is make believe.
Oh lord, the man’s a fraud, he’s flim flam man. He’s
