I hope for the sake of our sons and their peer age group veterans, that history plays out in such as way as to validate the importance of what they did there. It seems there is so much political correctness involved in recording “history” these days. My son and his wife are expecting a baby. I envision him someday telling his child about what they did in Iraq and how it made a difference to the world.
As for the future, here is a way to think. (if i may be so bold) Notice how many politicans and losers today fraudulently claim Vietnam service. Even notice that none seem to brag about waving a VC flag and burning their draft cards?
The war with Islam is far more clear cut. Our kids who VOLUNTARILY went over there will be seen as our most moral, intelligent, and decent kids. Our very best, the very flower of American society. People will want to be associated with them. Boxer etc will fade into shame.
150 years from now, they will be the ones who first fought to save us,, or as the only ones who tried. Heroes all. Every American should love them and show them the deepest gratitude.
