my information involved... after having been allowed to attack the enemy, our troops had been told to lay off, do the meals on wheels thing, etc. understanding now is, it was to sway the people in this region to our side. bottom line was.... this was not working and the enemy was gaining strength and resupplying for attacks on our troops. my understanding now is the plan for going back to taking out the bad guys is back on full. one can only hope this will remain the policy, if because (I do not know) the policy in effect at the present.
I know , but as with all wars, the only was to win the hearts and minds of the populace is to WIN the War. I’m sure as our guys leave each encounter. Talking about Afgan Culture, food, etc ect. they turn to themselves and say. We don’t want to be their buddies. Just kill the bad guys and go home.
Then AFTER that is done. The afgzns will be their best buddies. If we leave there in some Nato/Hillary brokered Taliban in Control Gov. The Afgan People will hate us for generations and NEVER trust us again.
