I have a question about Danae’s documents that anyone is welcome to weigh in on. In addition to the long form she just got, she also posted photos of her Certification of Live Birth. To my eyes, it looks identical to the thing Obama posted. I assume Danae’s is valid*, so I’d like to know what significant difference anyone sees between hers and his. And if hers is valid and his looks just like it, why isn’t it good enough?
* I do note that Danae’s doesn’t list Island of Birth, which Obama’s does. I’m sure if his were missing that information, it would be cited as proof positive that it was bogus. Nevertheless, I want to make it clear that I’m not challenging the authenticity of Danae’s COLB at all.
I will tell you what I know about that...
I don’t know why it is missing. However, given that it does list the City, Honolulu, it is plainly obvious which Island that is on. El Sordo can testify to the fact there is a raised seal on the thing, and it was legitimately obtained by me from HDOH. I have in the past posted pic’s of the receipt generated by my purchase of the COLB in 2007. I gave El Sordo those receipts to take a look at as well.
I do not know why the island of birth is left off that COLB. I can only guess that each COLB is generated by someone typing the information into a form. If that is the case, they may have left that off. For what reason I don’t know, but I can speculate it is because it is just so plainly obvious to anyone living in Hawaii that Honolulu is on Oahu. There is no other Honolulu in the islands.
I wish I had a better answer than that. Sorry.
I forgot to mention, on mine, the seal is visible. It also shows up in scans. I don’t believe the full document scan of Obama’s has that.
