>>> Rove helped to hurt O’Donnell

O’Donnell is a known quantity in Delaware. She just a couple years ago ran a statewide campaign for the same office. And was crushed then too. You really think the 2/3 of the state electorate who are democrats wait for Rove before they take a side?

She was and is an extraordinarily weak candidate. She’s had years to persuade them otherwise, and didn’t. Scapegoating Rove for speaking the truth isn’t the answer.

She’s weak because she has a weak background? No pedigrees? I’ve listened to her speak and she’s a very good speaker

Todays date is 10/13. The election is 11/2. You have no clue what’s going to happen yet.

Hey if you think you can do a better job...why didn’t you run for office?

Another day, another O’Donnell-bashing thread from tlb...

Get over your obsession with this woman- it ain’t healthy.

Yes, but Rove was wrong to slam her. Fact is that everyone in Texas knows that Rove is not a conservative.

Oh man, your not going to be popular. I made the same incredibly obvious observation and was accused of being a Dem plant, a concern troll, etc, etc, etc.

It is one thing to pull for someone, and I am. I would love O'Donnell to win, but it's quite another to bury ones head in the sand and ignore political realities.

With Castle we would have easily won this seat. With O'Donnell we are going to get crushed. Those are the facts. She is doing no better polling wise now than she was right after she was nominated. With Castle we had a vote for majority leader and a RINO that would side with us half the time. With Coons we are NOT going to get a vote for majority leader and will end up with a Senator that sides with us 0% of the time.

Are we just here to cheerlead and live in some alternate fantasyland? How did we get away from the idea of nominating the most conservative candidate that CAN actually win. I believe too many people are living in an echo chamber instead of spending some time at least attempting to take an objective look at whether candidates fit their districts/states.

Yes, she is a weak candidate. But, Rove providing ammunition, exposure and talking points for the Marxists is treason.

If s e is so weak, how did she pummel Mike Castle? She previously ran againt Biden which isn’t at all similar to an open seat in 2010. , if she had the full support of our party from the get go, she would be a lot closer right now. A Dem losing in deleware is unlikely anyway, but she got knocked down by our own people before the camapign even began. I am guessing it will tighten up some but she is unlikely to come back after being attacked nationally by both sides.

Nobody is “scapegoating” Rove. No matter how good or bad a candidate O’Donnell is, what Rove did was personally dishonorable, bad strategy and especially galling to those of us who gritted our teeth and supported John McCain after he became the nominee.

I supported McCain to the hilt for eight months. I’m not even sure Rove waited eight minutes to go after our nominee.
