That ride took about 16 minutes.
Has anyone been able to translate what’s on the back of the shirts of the rescued miners? All I’ve been able to make out is the word “Gloria”.

Funny you should say that, we talked about faith and perserverence (using this as an example) during our morning devotions :)

I think the wench/crane team might be American, I've heard them communicate via radio in engrish.

He looks out of his element. He did a sneak-an-agenda in his speech, saying that the Chile government “owed” the Bolivian miner a job.
I’m sure they would have done it anyway, but out of kindness not force.

He’s promising to stay to the end. He’s made a great play on the date: 13th of October, the 10th month, in 2010: 13 + 10 + 10 = 33 as in 33 miners. I’m really impressed with his speaking.

If the front of the shirts is any indication.....It may say Say
" Gracias Señor"
" Thank you Lord!" -- Mario Gomez, 63 - praying
To: WellyP
Outstanding! Praise God for the smooth operation thus far.

Those guy are idiots! /s lol
Where the heck are there teleprompters? Don’t they know they are insulting our president by not using them? ROTFLMAO!!!!!
I think if this country goes to crap I will become a Chilean citizen.
To: Ray'sBeth
Saw earlier that Pinera is a Harvard-educated PhD and right-of-center politician. Seems to know what he is doing.
Morales looks uncomfortable.
Who is responsible for planning and executing this operation? Was it done by he Chilean government, or did the government let the experts figure it out?

I don’t care what the politics of this Chilean President are. He’s demonstrating such caring for these people. I have tears streaming down my face listening to him. Incredible, especially when I try to think of how our President would react. Dittos with their First Lady.
