Yes, my son is in a class on civil rights at a state run college and its a nightmare for him. Imagine being told, regularly, that your skin color makes you an automatic racist. Your subjective mental state has nothing to do with it, that you’re born into racism by virtue of your genetics, that any genetically distinct group with majority power is racist by definition.
This is a devious shift of the meaning of “racist,” and it’s time to engage the enemy on the battleground of semantics and drag that word back to its original meaning: personal, individual, real hatred of racial identities other than your own.
But that would never do, because then members of minority groups could be racist due to a lack of individual virtue, and members of majority groups could free of racism due to the possession of individual virtue, and the whole race-baiting industry would collapse for lack of a premise.
