Oh, me too. What is fun is that he's never had to go on the defensive before. He's our WI maverick don't ya know. I think he modeled himself after Proxmire (sp) who was a "maverick" also but a total lib too but this state bought it for years. Yeah, ok, lots of us in WI are really stupid :-)
Oh, that’s right. I vaguely recall Senator William Proxmire. I had forgotten that he was from Wisconsin, but now I remember that he took the sainted Senator Joseph McCarthy’s seat and that he lived until a ripe old age.
So, he was the first “maverick”? I guess I never paid him any attention. I really just remember the name and his “age.”
Well, Feingold has had an 18 year run in your state. Enough. He’s done a lot of damage in the Senate. It’s just crying shame that his cohort McCain didn’t get the boot this year too.
